As a child, Olya experienced the heartbreak of losing both of her parents to addiction, this left a hole in her life that could only be filled in one of two ways: falling into addiction herself or dedicating her life to helping others struggling with addiction and mental health—she chose the second path. Olya earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and completed the Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counseling program at Utah Valley University. She is completing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. With over four years of clinical experience, Olya works closely with individuals and families dealing with addiction, trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and abuse. Her expertise includes years of intensive outpatient treatment, which she continues to provide today. She believes that spirituality plays a vital role in healing from addiction and mental health struggles and that therapy should be a non-judgmental space where everyone feels safe to grow and heal. Originally from Ukraine, Olya speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and English fluently. Outside of her work, her heart belongs to her husband and their five children, each with their own personality but all equally loved. She is dedicated and passionate about learning the human mind and keeps up with the latest research in mental health and addiction.
